Okay, i've been planning on breeding my two strange darlins at some point - and now I have! Since I am lazy and both the parents are mine, there is no breeding pic. ~___~;
However, during the breeding, we finally discovered one thing Mal doesn't like - eyeless, plain horses. He was most assuredly not pleased with Doe and continuously lashed out at her when she got too close, despite her sweet, gentle nature. Doe seemed rather interested in him though, and followed him around the paddock, regardless of his unusually harsh treatment of her.
We were almost about to abort mission when he finally allowed her close enough to touch - though it was obvious he was trying hard not to bite. Guess he finally realised he'd be getting more foals to coddle.
Outlawed Official The first colt came out a realistic mix of both his parents. He has eyes, but is completely blind. He is cold to the touch, and we all thought he had been stillborn at first - atleast until he suddenly moved, scaring all of us. Like his dam, he has an uncanny ability to stare straight at you, despite his inability to see. He doesn't seem to like his brother very much and will bite the other colt whenever he is near enough - though he hasn't caused any injuries yet, still not having developed strong teeth. Mal immediately took to him, and spent the time after birth fussing over the colt. We believe he is probably going to inherit some form of Mal's mental problems.
Colourblind The other colt is far more friendly than his twin and is very loving. He is eyeless, like his dam, and seemingly adores his twin - despite the fact he gets nipped whenever he gets too close. He enjoys cuddles, no matter who gives them, and seems to have inherited his dam's gentle nature. He doesn't seem to be exhibiting any kind of insane behaviour - quite the opposite, infact.
Doe managed the births very easily, and seems to adore both her foals - though the first born seems to rebuff most of her attention. She was very eager to show off her sons to Mal, though the stallion stayed far away for quite awhile.
Mal still wasn't all that keen on Doe, and refused to go anywhere near the birthing paddocks at first. But after awhile, curiosity seemed to win out and he went to the gate to watch. After the colts were born, he lurked for about 10 more minutes before he finally approached Doe and the foals - though he pinned his ears whenever Doe reached out to him. He was fascinated by the second colt's colour, however once he saw the colt had no eyes, he shied away once again.

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
