Posting this a wee bit early because there's a mass RP to go with it, and that will definitely take time xD;

So here we go, Callion's doing the last of his ceremonial leaving of the guard. After this, it's time to party :giggle:

Early Spring, Year 767 of the New Age
Glenmore, in Ather's Hollow
Featuring Lord Accalon and Lord Callion

The sun was setting on the cool spring day, but, unlike most days, this day there was a large group of Fawnlings standing in the forest just infront of Ather's Hollow. Watching. Waiting.

Beyond a cursory first glance, Accalon paid no mind to the silent watchers. Instead, all his attention was focused on the dark young stag that stood just before him. It seemed like it had been just a few months since Callion had been a colt just going to meet the cadets he would be training with the first time. Since then, so much had changed. Accalon's family had grown almost two-fold, and Callion? Well, he had grown up.

Where the slim, smiling young colt once stood was now a grown young stag, as dark as fresh turned soil and just as solid. Though he still stood a good two hands or so shorter than his father, Callion still towered over the does in the crowd -- and a good number of the stags too. Accalon couldn't help the proud glint in his eye as he stood by the large tree that grew beside the entrance of Ather's Hollow, waiting for his son to walk over to him.

It wasn't a herd tradition, but it was a family one. As far back as old Ather, who had first built Ather's Hollow and rooted the family, the Lord sons had earned their place in Glenmore society, fighting hard to make a name for themselves as worthy holders of their titles. Accalon had done his time, as had his father before him, and he was proud now to see the eldest of his sons do the same.

Accalon was pulled from his musings by movement as Callion began to walk over to him, the young stag's face excited and pleased. Behind him, Accalon saw the collection of dark stags that made up the guard unit Callion had lived and served with, all looking curious and anticipatory at the uncommon ceremony. The blue lord's eyes shifted to meet his son's as Callion came to a stop infront of him. For a moment, their gazes held locked, before Callion swallowed and inclined his head and bowed.

"Father. I present myself to you and request that you grant me my birthright and my title, as Earran intends it." The words came out, smooth and practiced, and despite the seriousness of the occasion, Accalon couldn't quite hold back the amused tilt to his lips as he remembered hearing Callion's voice late into the night, whispering the words fervently as if afraid he would forget them come morning.

Callion glanced up quickly, an answering smile creeping onto his face as he saw his father's expression, before he straightened up and, after letting out a deep breath, began the show of magic that would convince the witnesses of his blood right. At Accalon's firm nod, Callion clenched his jaw and, with a grunt, forced the large tree behind them into instant bloom, making the plant almost glow with pale blooms before they began to rain down over the watching Fawnlings, prompting a chorus of pleased murmurs.

Accalon smiled broadly as his son successfully completed his show of magic. All that was left was his word. Under the expectant gaze of his family and their friends, Accalon inclined his head.

"As your father and head of this family, I hereby claim you, and welcome you back to where you belong. It's time to come home, Lord Callion."
