Taming the Beast

<sub>"Uh... you sure about this dude?"

Linus let out a breathless laugh, dusting off his pants as he got up from the ground, wincing as he felt something in his back twinge. "Not really, no. But it's my day off and all that-"

"So naturally you decided to train an insane wild stallion." Jason quipped wryly, smirking when Linus shot him a Look.

"He's not insane, he's just..."

"Insane."

Linus chuckled and shook his head, knowing it would be futile to argue. "Whatever, man. Just make sure you've got Doc Sol on speed dial - just in case." That said, he walked around to the Mustang stallion's side once more, gently smoothing his hand along the broad back.

Dionysus looked back at him, a smirk curling his mouth, and Linus tapped the horse's neck, frowning. "My back ain't gonna last much longer if you keep throwing me off, you goof." He said wryly, earning a snort from the wild stallion.

Taking a breath, Linus began to ease himself up over Dionysus' back, gripping the halter in his hand. While it probably would have been smarter to have Jason hold the lead, Linus knew Dionysus wouldn't be all that happy about it.

Carefully grasping a handful of mane, he swung a leg up and over, bracing himself for the inevitable buck that would send him flying once more...

...One that never came.

Eyes snapping open, Linus looked down at the white mane grasped in his hand, and over at his equally wide eyed best friend. Beneath him, Dionysus shifted, a smirk curling his mouth more obviously as he took a half step, jolting the two men out of their shock.

Letting out an exuberant, shaky laugh, Linus patted the two-toned neck and pressed his heels into the Mustang's side, letting out a yelp as the stallion immediately fell into a cocky canter.

From his place leaning against the arena fence, Jason watched the Dionysus loping about in his signature drunken motion, the blonde man holding on for dear life. Chuckling and shaking his head, Jason began to cheer. Really, only Linus...</sub>

Alrighty, hope some of you guys still remember this boy here XD He's gonna become Linus' on-site horse; to clarify, the one that Linus uses to get around SPaVES. (Yes, you do need horses to get around comfrotably - it's quite far to walk )
